The Art of Caring
for Your Board
Your board is finished only with food-grade mineral oil — never lacquer or stain. A little ritual keeps it sealed against moisture, and lets it grow more beautiful with every passing year.

Cure by Air Drying
Your board leaves our workshop with a coat of mineral oil already soaking in. Before its first use, let it finish curing for a few days: lift it from the bag and stand it upright so air reaches every side and it dries evenly.
Build & Maintain the Barrier
For the first five times you use and hand-wash the board, re-apply mineral oil afterward and let it absorb overnight. Thereafter, a fresh coat once a month keeps the protective barrier strong.
Your Care Kit holds everything you need — food-grade mineral oil and an applicator. Work a generous coat along the grain, let it drink in, and wipe away the excess.
Everyday Washing
Hand-wash with warm water and a mild soap after each use, then dry with a towel. Stand the board upright to dry overnight — never leave it lying flat while wet, or it may warp.

Oiling is the single most important habit — a well-kept board resists moisture, stain and odour, and only deepens in character with the years.
A Few Gentle Cautions
- Never place the board in the dishwasher.
- Never leave it soaking in a sink or dish pan.
- Never lay it flat to dry — stand it upright overnight.
- Don’t let moisture from meats or vegetables linger on the surface.
- Avoid harsh detergents or cleaning products on the wood.
- Vary where you cut, so the surface wears evenly over time.
